    3. Joe, If your software is like mine. If I have a person tied to two different parents..It will indicate step-child... You might check that. T Haven't found anything that would indicated Rial's birth unless we assume that he became of age when he was on tax list in Roane County, TN in 1805... If this is true he would have been born about or before 1784... Jane would have been forty-nine in 1784. Not impossible for a woman to have a child at 49.. Children can be born in later years when going thru change of line.....mishap probably but still could happen... But the only other tax list before 1805 for Roane is 1802 and he was not on that and neither was Moore. They were still in Upper East TN. So his age I do not know for sure. The Charles Brooks you just sent that was married to Susannah and children listed in Grainger County, TN. I have him as just Charles... No middle name... I have him as son of William Matlock and Beulah Rice (this has not been proven). Came from Botetourt County, VA and died in Grainger County, TN...leaving 10 heirs. He died before 1802. His will was filed in Knox Co, TN in 1796. Also in the area at the time of Charles's death was John who died before 1802 in Grainger.. I believe that they were brothers. John's children went to Roane, McMinn, Rhea and that area. Also, in Grainger, according to deed in SC was Littleberry and Christian. Okay the Charles B. son of Luke and Charles Brooks son of Littleberry...I have as first cousins as well. I believe that perhaps Charles B. son of Luke may be the one that you have as died in 1819... Served in the War of 1812... Because I can not find him anywhere. ONE: I think the Littleberry of abt 1744 that married Christian and disappears is the son of William of 1702 and Elizabeth (Witt??????). I have found one reference listing his wife as "Catherine Light" Moses Moore born about 1775 I can only find as the son of Littleberry and Mary Light. The Stepchild is software issue I can't seem to get right. Two The Littleberry that marries Phebe Tharp and goes to Franklin County, Alabama, I have as the son of Littleberry who married Mary Light but dies is Wilson County, Tennessee on or about 1848. Charles B. and Charles B. are first cousin. What I have is below except for some war service notes. Rial I have placed with Moore and Jane Powell Matlock. This would make Moore 50 when Rial is born. Makes me proud of him but I would suspect Rial is a grandson. Thanks for all of your help Joe Matlock Descendants of Charles Brooks Matlock Generation No. 1 1.
