Found this little piece in "Historic Greene Co, TN and it's People" pg 299. Elizabeth Rodgers b. about 1791 in TN, d. ____ m. (1)11 Dec 1817 Moses Hill, in Clarke County, AL, (2) Thomas Matlock. In corresponding with others I have that Thomas Matlock married Elizabeth Rodgers and had children 1. Thomas Matlock b. 1814 - d. 1860 Houston Co, TX. 2. William Rodgers Matlock b. 24 Jul 1823 - d. 8 Feb 1864, TX. Can anyone explain... She married Hill in 1817. So when did she marry Thomas Henry Matlock. A son Thomas Matlock born about 1814. Then William Rodgers Matlock was b. 24 Jul 1823. Just curious as this is said to be the Thomas Matlock s/o of my William Matlock Sr. born 1753/1755 in VA... Elizabeth is the daughter of James Rodgers and Elly Hays who married in Greene Co., 20 Dec 1790 according to this article.
