    1. [MATLOCK-L] William
    2. Thoughts Taking the William Matlocks, that's being talked about, I find it hard to believe that William who married Mary Berry, William born 1802… and died 1827 was in any war.. The War 1812.. He would have been 10. He would of only been 17 when in 1819 he married.. Men back then didn't Marry that Young. Is it possible that the Pension that a Mary filed for was a different Mary? Does anyone have that Pension on Hand and does it say Mary Berry Matlock said……? I can say that A William was in Hempstead Co AR 1820/22 and that he was Married to A Mary, For they were named in George Berrys will. And that 5-7 years later William Died in 1827 and that this Probate Package was still going on in Hempstead Co in 1841. In 1830-40 No Mary Matlock is showing up on the Census in TN or AR, but in 1850 we do have 2 Mary's that are in my mind a question: Polly Matlock said to be Mary Polly wife of John In Franklin Co AR… and a Mary Matlock in Davidson Co TN said to be Mary Berry Matlock.. Now Why would Mary Berry Matlock Leave her family and go to TN? And why Would Mary Polly Fuqua Matlock Leave TN? Is it possible that The Mary in Franklin Co Is Mary Berry? Or is it Possible that Mary Berry Matlock Married a second time and that is why she isn't on the Census as Mary Matlock in 1830 or 1840? If anyone has this Pension that States Mary Berry Married William In AR, and that this Pension was applied for from Davidson Co TN to indicate that she was in TN in 1850, Please Step forward… One other Note I want to Make is that in William Matlocks Will.. William Said to be the father of the above William… He States that hes leaving his Grandchildren Margaret and Gabriel one share… It also leads me to believe that these 2 children are the Children of Benjamin Matlock who was also married to A Mary Polly Lee… I think that the Mary living with a Margaret is the Widow of Benjamin. Hope I haven't added to the Confusion. Brenda
