My grandmother's name is Ina Francis Matlock Wallace. Her father's name is Charles and a grandfather Matlock is George. I know there is a town in central England called Matlock. Our family came to the east coast of the United States with a great deal of German ancestry but I can not figure out the Matlocks. They came to Hancock County Indiana sometime in the late 19th century I am guessing. I notice that a few groups of Matlocks went to the US south. Any info on those who went north and into Indiana. I would love to know. Brett Cox Decended from the families of Cox Horton Wallace Matlock Jones McLintock Hawkins and some of those have spelling variations that I am trying to figure out Thank you for you consideration ==== MATLOCK Mailing List ==== To UNSUBSCRIBE from this list, email MATLOCK-L-request@rootsweb.com, use no subject line and write only the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the message body.
