    2. Im not so sure that this Moore was "Moore SR" I dont know how true this is.. I dont know the laws and or rules it took to be on a military tax list but theres a note.. along side this entry: 1784/5/6/- Moore MATLOCK - Botetourt Co. Va. Military list - 2 "If, as Melba Woods says "Moore", b. 1732, he is age 54 in 1786 - (Would not be in military list nor on any tax list) I would guess that this is the son of Moore, Sr. “ These are the words of Marie Harris.” Thinking of the naming pattern that is said to be common for back then... I could see where Charles, and perhaps Berry may be sons of William of 02, but am not so sure about the John... It is thought that John who married Judith Witt was the son of William 02.. Those of you working on John and Judith... is it possible that John was in Botetourt Co 1782?

    3. Who else could it be? Moore b. 1717/1718 was WAY too old. Moore Jr. was born about 1773 so he was too young. Moore Sr. was to old for Military as well but my Joseph Grubb enlisted into the Civil War at abt 56... But was discharged later for old age.. OKAY,...who has record that John who married Judith Witt is son of William 1702? Could that be wrong?
