Teddie "The Matlocks of Tennessee Especially Franklin County" published and complied in 1990 by Dr. John Wiley Leon Matlock of Cowan, Franklin County, Tennessee, is just that. A listing of his family from his records and research with some family legends. I have transcribed the chart and posted them to this list. There is a copy of the book in Public library Nashville Room in Nashville Tennessee. Unfortunately his is the only complete source for this line of descent that I have seen. Parts of it "seemed" to have crossed over to other lines (this is not uncommon) we may dealing with two set of family with the same names, (It happens a lot) . This would also be the line involved in the Forrest Gunfight.
