    1. [MATLOCK-L] help2
    2. Hello Gang, It's me again, We have another confused Matlock researcher here. Let's welcome her into the fold with the rest of us confused Matlock researchers. If you can help answer her questions her email address is [email protected] or post to the list. Thanks, Shawn Hi I realize this might be a shot in the dark, but I  am willing to try it, please bare with me.  From what I have been told I am the 5th g grandaughter of Sarah Mcpherson who married John Matlock.  One researcher has given me dates to back this up with John's name actually being Abisha John Matlock. Another researcher has never heard of the ancestor I come from. She descends from this Abisha's second wife, Mary Settle and she has all the children for the second famiy and only 3 from the first.  I have been told that I descend from Abisha John Matlock an dSarah Mcpherson's daugher, Sarah Matlock. This is the child this other researcher has never heard of, of course the first researcher has a list of 7 children for the first wife, what do you think? Can you help at all?  I know I'm confused.    I do know that the child Sarah Matlock m. Richard Albert Forrest on June 9, 1803.  Their daughter Elizabeth Forrest m. Alexander Martin, their son Henry Edgar Martin m. Neatie Jennings( now here is gets confusing again because Neatie is the gg grandaughter of Rev. Jesse Dodson and some of his other children also married in with the Matlock group so i am related tosome Matlock's in more than one way)Henry Martin and Neatie Jennings daughter, Martha Bela Martin is my g grandmother.      I do know that from Sarah Matlock and Richard Forrest down they are all buried in Shells Ford cemetery in Warren county TN. Also, the Jennings and Dodson's are there too. Well, let me know what you think any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.  I will be happy to share what I have, I just need desperately to get this all straightened out.                                             Thanks,                                                 Dana
