The Gen court gave Dane the house and land 17 Oct 1642 for his payments on behalf of the wife and children. Ch. Thomas, William, Hannah (m George Abbot) and Sarah (m William Cleaves) were mentioned in the will of their mother. Thomas deposed at Ipswich, March 29, 1692 age 64 yrs and William at the same time age 56 yrs. I am 80 years old.My parents in Salem, MA were friendly with a Cleaves family. My brother told me recently that one of the Cleaves children named Mary Cleaves died within the past year in Beverly, MA. This may be of some interest to you.
