I've "rescued" an old photograph identified only as "BLISS" which was taken at the Jones Studio in Providence, Rhode Island. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1870's with the man in the photograph likely in his 20's or 30's at the time it was taken. The photograph was recovered along with others belonging to students and faculty from the Class of 1878 at Brown University. In researching that class I do find Frederick Wright BLISS included, so I'm assuming that this is a photograph of him. Based on limited research and thanks to a BLISS Family Researcher I was able to locate the following information regarding Frederick and his family: Frederick or Frederic Wright BLISS was b. 14 Oct 1852 in Rehoboth, MA, the son of Cyrus Wheaton BLISS and Hannah T. MUNROE or MONROE. He received degrees from both Brown University and Boston University, was a practicing lawyer and legislator and lived in Boston, MA most of his adult life.
