Since I have no idea who Benjamin's parents were I am attempting to follow the logic of parents naming a son after the father. I also know for a fact that Benjamin Bailey who married Susan Riley is a descendant of the Bailey DNA line I am following. The reason I am looking at Benjamin Bailey and Susan Riley is because my Benjamin's first daughter was named Susan and his first son was named William Benjamin. If I can find an obituary for Benjamin Bailey and Susan Riley perhaps their children will be named, thus either eliminating this couple or claiming them as ancestors. There are ever so many Bailey's in Maine and Massachusetts that it is quite a daunting task. First I must be sure they of the correct line. Then I must follow descendants in hopes of finding a connection. Knowing you descend from someone who arrived in America in 1635 and making a connection to another 200 years later is incredibly difficult.Hope this make! s sense to you. Thanks again.
