Greetings GenMassachusetts and Suffolk Listers, I've not made as many column shift corrections in the last couple of weeks for two reasons. After several attempts over the last year, I have finally figured out a way to organize in a spreadsheet the volume and page numbers worked on, to be worked on and what isn't available. Just like those of you glaring at an "image not available" entry, I have to deal with it while working on column shifts. I make a change and then have to go check to see if the image is available. I found I was checking the same page several times. Once I get the overview spreadsheet completed I'll offer it to the lists for those who like to look around to find out where something in the wrong place might actually be. This is only for the years 1880 to 1910. Well over 95 percent of the images missing prior to 1880 are not on the server. This still covers some 100 volumes, so it is taking a bit to get it completed. The second reason is it a serious fire season in Northeast Washington State and weed whacking is a top priority. I pushed my luck a week or so ago and am avoiding connecting whole pages to prevent a case of tendinitis from getting worse. I have connected the first valid entry on a page for number of pages and will continue to do so as I work on my spreadsheet mapping out what needs to be done. This process involves a lot of waiting and not much hand work. You are still quite welcome to email me to see if an image is available. With the exception of 1910 entries, most death records tend to have an image. Births aren't quite as good, but the majority are there. Marriages are the worst with whole years in succession missing. Ask away as to missing images, since I haven't found a rhyme or reason for what is missing, except the missing images tend to come in 50 page increments. I strongly urge that when you come across "image not available" you query just the volume and page number. If I've connected the first valid entry for the page, you will be able to access the image. If the image was a late reported entry, you might still have a chance to see the entry. My recent corrections are listed below my signature. Take care and the best of luck in your search.
