    3. Cheryl, In the 1884 Boston City Directory, there were no Rev. Green(s) (without an E). There were two listed under Greene. J.H. Greene, church type was (UV), h. Waterloo, Dorchester, and an odd abbreviation of "n." followed by Sydney Place. Not sure if the "n." means "near" or something else. I could find no entry for this church under Churches and Ministries and am wondering if he was retired, more or less. The church type of UV stands for Universalist. The Rev. J.H. Greene does not show up in the 1888 nor 1889 city directories. The second was R.L. Greene (M.E.), People's Church, Columbus ave, correspondence Berkely. The R stands for Roscoe. M.E. stands for Methodist Episcopal. The Rev. Roscoe L. Greene does show up in the 1888 and 1889 city directories living at either 3 or 8 Wallace ct. and still connected with the People's Church. I don't have the microfilms of the 1885-1887 city directories. Not sure if this helps or not.
