On the 1900 census, John E. Stephenson is listed in Boston living with his son, William John Stephenson.He says he is 82 years old and came to Boston from N.B.in 1892.(he was born in Ireland.) My question is would there be a record of this somewhere, or did people just come and go from Canada to the U.S.?
