Hi Brian; I've been watching these posts with great curiosity!! My father grew up in the Boston area....1919-1945. He left after the war & married my mother moving to NJ. There are McCarthy's who married into that family....does the surname 'Biedermann' sound familiar to you at all ? I have family pictures of a Barbara & James McCarthy, brother & sister's school pictures from the 40's & 50's sent to my dad. Unfortunately, my dad passed away in 1984 before I began my genealogy research and I had very little contact with that side of my family. Thanks in advance for any insight you might have. Dear Robin: Thanx for your reply.I'm sorry but Bederman is not a name I am familiar with. Nor too, the first names of the McCarthys you mention do not seem like the the first names usually used by "my" McCarthys of the Boston area, which includes EastaBos, Southie, Chelsea. (As you know, the name McCarthy is legion, they're all over the place). My folks, with me going along with them, moved from East Bston in 1947, relocating to Teaneck, NJ. Anywher near your crowd? :Brian >From: "Robin Slamp" <[email protected]> >Reply-To: [email protected] >To: <[email protected]> >Subject: Re: [MASUFFOL] Boston Pronounciations >Date: Wed, 13 Dec 2006 18:15:19 -0500 > >Hi Brian; I've been watching these posts with great curiosity!! >My father grew up in the Boston area....1919-1945.
