It is great to get the info. on Jane and her family. My grandmother was Betsy, Jane's elder daughter with her first marriage to Edward Whitehead. I don't know as yet why she didn't go with her mum and John to America. It could have been that she had met my grandad Peter Boyers. I live right near to where Jane Lived with her parents. I started on Ancestry a year and a half ago and halve been on the other side of the family the Boyers's. I can't tell you what it means to me to hear about Jane and her family. Best Christmas present ever. Please keep in contact with me and I will send you info about all Janes family here. Jane would have been so proud of Betsy's son James, my dad. He was the greatest dad in the world. He lived to be 86 yrs old and died three weeks before I lost my beloved twin Janice. This is all for now but please keep in contact. She was born in Parr St Helens Lancashire England in 1858. Her husband was called John Smith and he worked as a chemist. They left England for America and arrived in 1887 where they went to live in Boston Ward 23 Suffolk Massachusetts. They had at least two children called Leilia and John Smith. Janes parents lived in Parr St Helens England and their names were, Edward Smith, born in 1836 and JoanFinley born in 1860. I myself was born in Parr St Helens England and now live in Haydock St Helens. Jane was married twice and her daughter who stayed behind in England was my grandmother. Please if there is anyone out there who could be an ancestor of mine and can tell me anything about them I would be eternally grateful. My dad was called James Boyers and Jane was his grandmother. He was a fantastic dad and I would love to know as much as I can of his family. My name is Judith Mc Kay, was Judith! Boyers. My dad's mum was Betsy Whithead, born in Litherland Liverpool England. Thank you. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. [MASUFFOL] GRAY - CASWELL Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Jessie Tenney GRAY of Wyandotte, Kansas which was taken at the McCormick Studio in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to her name and hometown, someone has also noted that she was 20 years old when the photograph was taken on July 20th 1883 along with noting the town of Newburyport, Massachusetts. The photograph was apparently a gift as well since it is signed "To Cousin Sarah" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Jessie and her family: Jessie Tenney GRAY was b. 31 Oct 1862 in Leavenworth, KS to parents Barzillai GRAY and Mary Davy TENNEY. Jessie married Charles Trelinghsen CASWELL (b. 1852 of Grand Junction, CO) on 7 May 1891 in Kansas City, KS. Charles was listed as 39 years old at the time of their marriage and Jessie as 28 years old. Census records provide the following information: 1870 census of Leavenworth, KS: Brazilla GRAY, age 46, a Criminal Court Judge, born NY Mary T. GRAY, age 36, Keeps House, born PA Jesse GRAY, age 7, born KS Lawrence GRAY, age 5, born KS Mary GRAY, age 3, born KS 1880 census of Topeka, KS: Barzilla GRAY, age 55, born NY, a Lawyer, parents born NY Mary GRAY, wife, age 45, born PA, Keeping House, parents born VT/NJ Jessie GRAY, dau, age 17, born KS, at Home Lawrence GRAY, son, age 15, born KS, at Home Theo GRAY, son, age 13, born KS, at Home 1910 census of Boston, MA: - living in the home of Anna F. CONANT (Lodge Keeper) Jessie G. CASWELL, age 47, a widow, no children, born KS, parents born NY/PA, a Charity Social Worker I am hoping to locate someone from Jessie's family so that this wonderful old treasure can be returned to the care of her family. If you are a member of this GRAY Family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

Another one for Agnes Beatrice arriving in Calais, Maine, from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, on Dec 12 1952. The last one is for Margaret Griffin who arrived in Yarmouth from the US on Aug. 1922. They had a sister, named Florence born Sept 30, 1917 who married Walter Roussell and lived in British Columbia Canada, she passed away April 1984 in Langley, BC. William Griffin died Dec. 1917. May Elisabeth remarried a Edgar Post in Digby and died in June of 1951 in Digby, Nova Scotia. I married a son of their nephew who knows that they lived in the US since they moved there, but lost contact totally. I don't even know where to start searching for them or their family. I don't know where to go for the married certificate, death certificate, etc. I found a site for vital statistics, but not much help. Can anyone help me with this. I thank you in advance. -------------------------------
