Hazen K Riley married Susan E Bailey Nov 7 1842. I found him in an 1850 San Francisco Directory, listed as clerk, Byron H., Sac st. Susan is found in the 1850 census Boston ward, living with her mother Susan, sister, Julia and two children, John A Riley and Ada I Riley. In 1860 Census Stafford, Tolland, Conn. she is living at the home of John C Sargent with her husband Hazen K Riley, and children John H Riley, Ada J Riley, and Stella C Riley. Susan after divorcing Hazen (as per Tolland County Divorce Index Pg 229) then marries John C Sargent April 1863. They have another child Guy B Sargent in 1863. John adopts Stella C and Guy B. I am still trying to prove that Susan E Bailey and Julia A Bailey are the siblings of my great great grandfather Benjamin Bailey. I have the marriage info on Harriet, Samuel and Theresa. Martha and Thomas died young. I found Samuel in the 1910-1930 Census -- he has one of THeresa daughters living with him. I found Harriet as well from 1910-1930 Census. I was thrown off by the Wakefield information as well. But, I believe this is them too. Can't wait to review the first marriage information a little more!! M Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. So I searched for a Hanna Sullivan with a spouse by the last name of McNeil. For kids - I searched on last name McNeil with parents = James and Hanna. I also found some marriages of Samuel and Hanna's children go to familysearch, get to the Mass Marriages database 1841-1910 with the camera. For search, put in last name = Sharp, parents = Samuel, Hanna. 3 appear on the next screen - Hannah, Samuel and a Harriet - saying she was born 1871 Wakefield - which doesn't seem right but parent's names are correct- did you ever find them on the 1880 Census? With the children's marriage info now you can find their children - which would be Samuel and Hannah's grandchildren. His parent's names are hard to read... Mother's name = Mary. This siblings are listed with names that are very similiar to the names of Samuel & Hannah Sharp children. I.e, Harriet, henry, etc etc. I was wondering if this family in 1850 Maine is the young Samuel Sharp I've been following. And Hannah and Samuel names there kids after his siblings and mom _ Mary, Henry, Harriet etc. Sorry-- I hope this is clear?? and not too confusing.
