Married Pearl(e) R. Gyger in 1921 in the Boston, MA area. Ruby and Pearl lived in/around Roxbury, MA and then moved to Washington D.C. sometime around 1947. Pearl Gyger worked for the U.S. General Accounting Office until about 1970. They lived at 1437 Rhode Island Ave NW, Wash. D.C. for several years. I have never seen any indication Ruby and Pearl had children. I do know Pearl died in Manitou Springs, Co in 1974 and must have remarried, because I have received an Obit for Ruth E Smith Gyger, who died the next year, with his name as being the husband. So, Pearl Gyger married twice. Any and ALL help would be greatly appreciated. Larry Gyger Lsgyger@atlanticbb.net Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I understand you had a good amount of information about the Kirchners from Templeton. Your original question that I responded to was the relationship of Frederick Kirschten of Belmont, who had appeared in your grandfather's journal. Frederick Kirschten and your Grandfather William H Kirchner would have been first cousins. Your grandfather's mother Louisa (Kirschten) Kirchner was the sister of Frederick's father Gustavus Kirschten. Frederick also had a sister Ida, or Fannie. It does not seem that either ever married. There were also other siblings that died in childhood. There are more records available at familysearch.org. I tried to just include the major connecting points. Good luck!! If you look at the attached page, you'll see that the first family listed is the Kirschten's. Next is Spindler's, which I suspect is the father of Pauline Kirschten, named Gotlieb. I suspect Frank Spindler is a grandson of Gotlieb. Next is Kirschner, which is your William and Louisa (Kirschten). Next is Warner, which I suspect is Louisa's sister, Theckla, who married Frederick Warner. (The marriage record is listed as Theckla P, which I presume is Paulina.) Some of the birth locations are Altenburg, some Saxony, and some Saxe-Weimar. John Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I'm trying o find a connection to my branch of Kirchners, but so far neither Fred works. MY Dad, Grandfather and great grandfather were all William H. Kirchners originally in the Templeton, Otter River area. The only other Kirchner in our line was Henry, my grandfathers brother ,who never got married as far as I can tell. I believe my great grandfather came to U.S straight from Weimar saxony Germany. I have tried to seek a connection with Mathias Kirchner also , but found nothing there so far. I guess I need to head to Germany. I hope to attend the Kirchner family reunion this summer in Mass.Rene Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Found map at www.wardmaps.com - on the city dropdown menu I chose Roxbury, MA - only because I knew the area from John's description for the district in the 1930 Census. Chose the 1915 map because the area was the one I wanted - then used the zoom feature to look at area and find street. According to http://stevemorse.org/census/, Conant street did exist in the 1910 Census, but if you try using any of the online map sites, it no longer does. If you have access to ancestry, you should be able to search and find them in the census. Or you could search at familysearch.org. Or you could post the name you are looking for here and request a lookup. Once they are found in the 1900/1910 census, at least the neighborhood would be identified, which might help you. Good luck.
