They may have lived in St George or Wells ME. One of their decendents Seymour Watts married my grandmothers cousin Susan O'Donnell in Boston years later and they had several children. Susan O'donnell was the youngest daughter of John F and Bridget(Doherty)O'Donnell both born in Ireland(maybe Cork). They came to Boston April 1881. We found Bridget in South Boston working as a saleswoman, still single, and Bridget died in 1909 from cancer, buried in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Lawrence. I have been trying to get a photo of Bridget's stone to see if it tells us anything. No luck so far. Using "google" I have found the cemetery. but only the entrance...google did not take photos inside the cemetery like they do everywhere of actual homes, businesses, etc. We lose track of Annie around this time and we are wondering if she, as well, moved to the Boston area. This was a large family and I have found everyone, who they married, death information, how they made a living, etc. Bridget is the only one we know FOR SURE moved to the USA, and we THINK Annie may have as well. Once "Annie" is found and information learned, we will have the entire generation of this family secured. Thanks for your help. I do know of a Ventola family that lived in the North End of Boston at least up to the 1970-80's. They had two daughters one we called Phyllis, but her name may have been Philomenia(check spelling) and the other may have been Marie, but not sure. They lived on a short street, that to mee reminded me of an alley. Phyllis worked in Boston's West End at the time. Barb Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Catherine apparently was, I think also born somewhere in Ireland. Her parents were very elusive it seems, Mark and Grace McLaughlin(also her maiden name). Have found nothing on them I also have Rose McLaughlin (maiden name) who was the mother of Ellen Noon. Ellen married Philip O'Donnell dob 1880 Co Donegal Ireland. Denis and Philip were brothers, sons of James O'Donnell and Susan White Doherty. I'd like to find Mark and Grace--parents sibblings date of, place of marriage, and if there were other children besides Catherine. Mark and Grace may have stayed in Canada, but don't know where, when Catherime came to Boston. I'd like similar information on Rose McLaughlin the Mr Noon. I don't know his given name. They will have access to the Archives - 1872-1922 or 27. I used to have Globe delivered to my house but we stopped and now I don't have access, otherwise I would've helped. Sometimes it is tricky finding obits - even if you have the name. You have to put in an '*' in the search field - that will bring up all the obits/death notices for the specific day you are looking for - I'm only telling you this so that if you do find someone that can get in the Archives for you that they may want to search that way if they can't find it by last name. Good luck Margaret Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I need the Boston Globe from 1890 to 1976. Basically, there is someone with a tree and her great-grandfather and mine appear to be brothers, but with different spellings of the last name. I think there is a chance they may be related, but I believe the more likely relationship is Uncle and Nephew (27 year age difference), not brothers. I've sent messages asking how she came to this conclusion and got no response. I haven't been able to find a link on my own. I've hit a brick wall with tracing his family in Ireland, and I know of at least one brother that came to the USA and lived with him briefly. I was hoping that perhaps obituaries would list family members. My Cremin's lived in Hyde Park at 37 1/2 Garfield Ave, her Crimmins appear to have been in the Roxbury area. Her tree lists a William Joseph Crimmins that died in Dec 8, 1932 in Boston. My great-grandfather died before him, but if I could trace his survivors, I may find a link. I had brought the DOD of all the family members and did find the obituary for my Great Great Grandmother (Eva Rose) hoping to find information about survivors but all it said was she died July 10, 1912. Also checked the Globe and the Harald to no avail. Could not find an obituary for most of the children, with the exception of Frank E. Rose whoi died in 68. It was helpful because it had a sentence in their that mentioned he had run amusements on Revere Beach for over 50 years. This confirmed family legend. So what ever happened to Ana Sophia Rose remains a mystery. ...for now.... I'll find out someday! Carl Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
