Then John F O'Donnell (who I had thought maybe a cousin to James) dob Dec 1854. Peter(unkown date) and Patrick dob 1844. So My grandfather James and John F were brothers not cousin. I don't know how I missed that before. Found this on Eva Gremont web site. Anyone searching Dohertys(in the Co Donegal area) along with McDaid, McDevitt, Bradley, Callaghan, and others should check her site out. Recently I also learned that my other grandfather Patrick Bradley had not just two sisters and a brother but also another sister (Ellen) and brother(James) I didn't know about. I knew he had Mary, Margaret, and Bernard as his sibblings until search at Eva Gremont's site. Anyone that has connections in Co Donegal/Co Cork, to Doherty, O'Donnell I'd love to hear from you especially if they were in the Carndonagh, Glenmakee area. with details please. I still am trying to find if there is a connection between my great grandmother Susan White Doherty, and Neil Dohert(1838-1878) in Co rk. Neil's daughter Bridget(Feb 1861) wound up marrying John F O'Donnell(dec 1854) in 1881, Carndonagh(Sacred Heart Church). They immigrated to Boston(Stoneham in April 1881-later North End of Boston at the time a big Irish Community) Good Luck in your searching !! Barbara

This could be the Hy Berkowitz we are looking for. We do not know how he was related, so I am going to have to try to figure out a way to dig up some more facts. I was told by a relative that he was a cousin, and as I may have mentioned, I recall my mother a"h having spoken of a "Hymie". Perhaps he was a nephew of Barnett (Dov) and Eva (Gnessa Rivka) Berkowitz of Salem, MA? They had four daughters, Golde (Semel), Fanny (Musmon), Mollie (Amalie)(Grossman) and Annie, and they lived in Salem in the early part of the 1900's. Would you know that names of Hy's parents? Thanks very much for you help! All the best, Janice Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Name is Harold Parker Gilmour, born 1903, Lynn, MA. Census records show he is not living with his father Phillip D Gilmour and mother Margaretta (Etta) Gilmour. An old family story tells that my dad was so bad that they sent him away to a home when he was little. He scrimped and saved and somehow at the age of 8 showed up on his parents' doorstep having traveled from across town. I've looked under Harold Gilmour, Parker Gilmour and "Gil" Gilmour (his nickname) and can't find him. Any help with this bit of research would be appreciated.
