Surnames: PDonnell, McLaughlin, Bradley, Lynch, Nelson, Tuffli, Kotarski, Mackin Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZFB.2ACI/4115 Message Board Post: Denis O'Donnell m Catherin McLaughlin in Boston(I think) on April 24, 1904. They were married at 45 Cooper Street. Does anyone know what that was back in 1904-Catholic Church perhaps? As they were both Catholic. They had three sons James Joseph (Jan 1905) and Michael Dec 1905 (based on information I just received) and in 192 they, I think had John. By 1920 they were living in Everet Ma. Think Denis died in 1972, and that Catherine could have pre-deceased him, if the information I have is correct, as he married a second time perhaps to Mary Doherty. If this is true, I'd like to learn about Mary (did she and Denis have any children, who were her parents, siblings etc). Primarly its Catherine McLaughlin I'd like to learn about Who were her parents, where in Ireland was she born, and did she have siblings(who-where-when) and if possible who did they marry. where did they settle. When did Catherine immigrate to Boston. She worked as a Domestic I think at "American House" what was that? Thank you for any help. Barbara

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZFB.2ACI/4113 Message Board Post: Harry Silverstein and his wife Ann Primack immigrated with their two daughters to MA from Russia about 1905. They had at least two more girls in Ma(Somerville/Cambridge area I think) Leana and Fannie, and possibly a third Bessie. By 1920 Harry had died, in an accident. Apparently someone named Abraham was the girls guardian. Recently I learned that Harry's fathers name may have been Abraham, could he have been the girls guardian.? Also in 1921 Ester and Saide(see Sam's post) were living with Phillip Rabinowitz family No Russell St Ward 5 District 135.(was this Somerville, ? or where). Were they family? and why were Ester and Sadie living with them? Hmmmmmmmm? Thanks D

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Rabinowitz, Silverstein, Primack, Abraham? Boston area 1920 1921 or so Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZFB.2ACI/4112 Message Board Post: Can anyone tell me about Phillip Rabinowitz and his family living in ward 5 distric 135 No Russell St(apt bldg I think) They were suppose to be there in 1920/1921. There were two female borders living there with them at the time. Ester and her sister Sadie Silverstein. They were born in Russia to Harry Silverstein and Ann Primack. I'm utterly confused now, because I just learned that in 1920 the girls father had died, and someone named Abraham(don't know if that is a given or surname) was their guardian along with Lena, Fannie, someone named Bessie(maybe another sister?) I think Harry's father name was Abrahnm could it be him that was his grandchildren's guardian? Any way to determine this, and or find out if the Rabinowitz's were blood family to Ester and Saide(boarders in an apt bldg residence strickes me funny unless they were family or close friends) Thank you for any help, and I do hope this isn't to confusing,. Thanks again Sam

John O'donnell and his wife Ellen Carney lived in Co Cork. They had 3 sons: John F, Peter, and Patrick. John F O'Donnell married Bridget Doherty (also from Co Cork) daughter of Neil Doherty, and Margaret(somebody). She had two sisters Ellen and Mary. John F O'Donnell m Bridget Doherty in January of 1881 in Carndonagh Co Donegal. Why in Co Donegal if they came from Co Cork? I think its because either John F O'Donnells father was connected to James O'Donnell in Co Donegal, or that Neil Doherty may have been connected to James O Donnell's wife Susan Doherty. Paper work left to us by my late aunt has the name Ellen O'Donnell on it(its circled for whatever reason). I'm wondering if maybe she was connected to James or John O'Donnell. Good Luck, and thank you D

I would like to learn about both Abraham and Ethel. Did they have other children? Where in Russia were they from? Did they immigrate-if so did they do so with Harry and Ann and children? Were they still alive in 1920 when Harry died? Could Abraham be the same Abraham that was appointed children gaurdian after Harry died? If so where was Harry's wife Ann in 1920. Besides Ester and Sadie Harry and Ann had here in MA Fannie, and Lena, and maybe one or two other children. Where and when were Abraham and Ethel born. Who were their parents, siblings? Where and when did they immigrate? Any other children besides Harry? Where were they living in 1920(if they immigrated)(Boston? 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZFB.2ACI/4092 Message Board Post: Hi Friends, I'm pleased to announce The First Fleet Discussion List. http://www.feliixplace.com/genealogylists/firstfleet.html >From the description at the list home page: --- A mailing list for anyone who has an interest in genealogy or history regarding ancestors who came to New England on the First Fleet, their lives, the reasons they came here, their ancestors and descendants wherever they may be, as well as those who married into these families. The First Fleet includes that group of ships known as The Winthrop Fleet including the ships: the Arbella, the Ambrose, the Jewel, the Talbot, the Charles, the Mayflower (not the Pilgrims' Mayflower), the William and Francis, the Hopewell, the Whale, the Success, and the Trial. Also included are certain other early ships that became part of "The Great Migration". There are many mailing lists focusing on the individual surnames of many of these people but this list brings them together so we can study them as a group, as family units, and as individuals. Feel free to create a database to share your information; use the files area to upload your gedcom or other genealogical or historical document; use the photos area to display your ancestors connected with these lines or artwork relating to early colonial New England; and the links area to promote your favorite websites. --- I'm very excited about the future of the First Fleet list and I expect it will be a great success. Go to http://www.feliixplace.com/genealogylists/firstfleet.html for sign up information. Regards, David
