I wonder who Francis's siblings were ? I also wonder if there are any Julia Murphy's in your family? I have a Julia Murphy whose mothers maiden name apparently was also Murphy. Her parents I think were Jeremiah Murphy/Julia Murphy. They were from Co Cork. Immigrated to Ma, and I think may have settled in Newburyport Ma. I know Julia(daughter) married Jeremiah Lynch, whose parents were Humphrey Lynch and (?)Kelleher also from Co Cork. They stayed in Newburyport Ma and had several children Humprhey, Jeremiah, Daniel, William, Hannah, Catherine(married Arthur Rubino) Julia and John Henry who married Mary Rita Bradley about 1930ish. in Salem Ma. Probably no connection but with Co Cork, and Murphy surname thought I'd take a risk and check it out. Good luck and thank you D

    2. St. Mary's in the North End was referred to as "Old St Mary's" and was a Jesuit parish until the church burned down a few decades ago when it was dissolved as a parish.

They settled in the Somerville area of Ma I believe. Had at least two more daughters Fannie, and Lena, and maybe a third Bessie. Ester m Irving Pearlmutter , had two children Helen, and Melvin, divorced him, in Jan of 1941 married Edward J Gardner and Jan of 1942 had a daughter(only child of them) named Caroline Katherine(birth certificate) better known as Carol or Carolyn. I met her many years ago, and last saw her in March(early) of 2004. She has disappreared, and I'm still searching for her. I know she lived in Brookline, but shes not at that address any longer, I am hoping someone seeing this may know her, or of her. Its possible shes in a homeless shelter, or a hospital etc. But they won't give personal information. I've searched all I can think of including involving some political people and police I know. It seems shes fallen off the face of the earth. I pray shes well, If anyone does know her/of her will you please tell her(if you can) that her old friend Barbara is still searching for her, and ask her to contact me. I';m listed, she can call, and or e-mail me, phone me whatever is best for her. If something has happend to her(she died etc) please if you know that let me know. I'm very concerned about her, and she to my knowledge has no family that would take her in. God Bless and Thank you all once again. Lots of folks have tried in the past several years to help but still nothing. Barbara

Since they were Catholic I'm wondering was there a church at 45 Cooper Street or what stood there then? and where on earth is it? Was It? I don't know anything about Catherine beyond what I just mentioned. She and Denis who I think died in 1972, had 3 sons James Joseph(Jan 1905) Michael(Dec 1905) and John (1912) By 1920 they were living in Everett Ma. Catherine may have pre deceased Denis, think Denis married a second time to Mary Doherty(not quite sure about this though) . Catherine and or Denis and Mary mayhave spent some time in Florida, not sure about this though either. Thank you Sam

    3. Barbara, St. Mary's Catholic Church, North End of Boston, was at the corner of Cooper and Endicott. It looks like 45 Cooper would be the rectory's address. Most of the folks from the Inishowen Peninsula lived in that area when they immigrated, so it makes sense for your family. The Archdiocese of Boston does have the marriage records, so you can ask them for a copy. Per the Archivist of the Archdiocese, the priests at the time at that church didn't indicate anything more than Ireland. You can get the names of witnesses though, so that might prove helpful.
