    3. Actually, it is pronounced, Gloss-tah and Woos-tah. That is the real old New England sound, with the " tah " kind-of whispered. None of we natives ever have a problem with the pronounciation. It's usually the ' come from away's ' who do. respectfuuly, Joe the Calker

    2. In a message dated 12/10/2006 12:39:14 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: I pronounce them Workester and Gloukester. As far as I'm concerned, if they want to hear "Gloster" and "Wooster", they will change the spellings, and I may not pronounce them that way then. "Gloster" and "Wooster". Honestly. Where were you born (may I ask)? And does your Gloukester sound like Gluekester or Glowkester?

    2. Hello. I just found a relative in a 1910 census. He was at the Deer Island prison. The census did not say why he was there, or how long he would be there, just that he was a prisoner. What I would like to know is if there is a place I good write or go to look at his record. Thank you. Best wishes. Bob Researching-- Tennihan, O'Connor, O'Mara, Goggin and Dizoglio

    2. Priscilla, I have searched _www.familysearch.org_ (http://www.familysearch.org) and find her birth record in Clifden, Galway on May 5, 1864. However, her sisters came to the US and I know she was here at one point because she had her portrait taken and was godmother to her niece in 1889. After that I have lost her. I don't know who or if she married or if she stayed in the US or went back to Ireland. Carol

He is listed in the 1905 city directory, but I do not have any further information. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you. Best Regards, Douglas Fevens

    1. [MASUFFOL] Obit reference to T.D. Moxon of Cambridge, Mass 1936
    2. Sue Richart
    3. I came across a very extensive obituary of Mr. J.C. Harrigan in the Colville Examiner April 18, 1936. Although most of the full column and a half article describes her contribution to the Colville, Stevens County, Washington State area, there was a reference to her birth in Boston and a surviving uncle in Cambridge. See the extract below for the information. If anyone is researching this family and would like a copy of the full obituary or a lookup in records in the area, please send me an email. I'll be more than happy to add your request to my ongoing research. Sue Richart Chewelah, Washington State Titled: "Last Call Comes to Mrs. Harrigan" 'Mrs. J.C. Harrigan, wife of the editor of the Colville Examiner, died at her home Monday..." Mrs. Harrigan was born in Boston, Oct. 22, 1878. Her father was Wm. S. Moxon, a native of Nova Scotia, of English descent. Her mother was Mary Frazer Moxon, native of Prince Edward Island, of Scotch ancestry of the Clan Frazer. Her girlhood was spent in Jamestown, N.D. In 1900 she finished her nurse's training course in Minneapolis and came west, spending some time in San Francisco, Spokane, Lewiston, finally coming to Colville to remain in 1904. .... Only surviving relatives, besides her husband, are an uncle, T.D. Moxon of Cambridge, Mass., who has visited in Colville, and cousins on east and west coasts and in Canada. Her mother died when she was 8 years old, and her father died at her home in Colville in 1932. .... Interment was at Highland cemetery with the Rebekah lodge in charge. ... Business houses in Colville were closed during the services.
