    1. [MASUFFOL] Massachusetts Maps online (free)
    2. Susan Daily
    3. There are old and modern maps online, and not just for Massachusetts, that I heard about from Rootsweb Review, 23 May 2007, Vol.10, No. 21. I also was enjoying looking at some c. 1630 and 1975 Irish maps. Norman B. Leventhal Map Center at the Boston Public Library This website contains more than 200,000 historic maps and 5,000 atlases, including woodcuts, copperplate engravings, lithographs, and more. Maps come from all over the world, though the majority are from Europe and America, with a particular focus on New England, Massachusetts, and Boston. They date from the fifteenth century to the present day. http://maps.bpl.org/

F. Sweetser Cambridge, Mass., Moses King, Publisher - Harvard Square, 1878. Noddle's Island Thank you, Ray Sears - much appreciated. That transcription of Noddle's Island in Boston Harbor by Henry Sweetzer is accompanied by my transcription of the Journal of Major Amos Farnsworth made during his military career in the time in the Revolution - Noddle's Island - which exactly matches what the King's Handbook has to say about Noddle's Island in the Rev. War. Know that I appreciate all the work you do putting my work on line with the Rootsweb Archives By the way, folks, the original Journal by Major Amos Farnsworth is now owned by the Mass. 1. Re: [MASUFFOL] Obits
    2. Obits can be from any time period. Obituaries are truly not able to be copyrighted unless they are a story written by an editor or staff. If they are just facts, they cannot be copyrighted. And yes, I would be interested in obituaries that indicate someone was in Boston at some point or Suffolk County. Thank you. 3. Not sure where or when these are from. I occasionally post a local obit or death notice to the New Brunswick list if the deceased is originally from there, or if there might be interest to another location. A 90-year old person from another, state/region, may give survivors, predeceased siblings, and even parents. These connections can be helpful.
