    3. Doyle, Unless there were two Richard Masters in Orange County, NY, Richard, after serving in the NY milita and appearing in the 1790 census, moved his family to and owned land in Greenbrier county, Virginia (now WV) in the late 1790's, following his eldest son, Thomas there. About 1810 he and his wife Isabella Campbell and some but not all of his children moved on to Warren county, Kentucky, where he died and is buried in Zion cemetery near Woodbury, on land he donated to his church. He may have been a son of Richard of Sussex county because he also named a son Clement; however, Dorothy Masters in her "The American Clan of Richard Masters and Isabella Campbell ..." (1986), puts forth an idea that he emigrated from Liverpool, England, citing sources I have been unable to locate. Unfortunately Dorothy is now deceased. I descend from Richard > James > James > Clyde > Nellie (my mother). If there were two Richards in Orange county and one died there, could you provide the source of this death data?
