Faye, I believe you and I have communicated before, but I might not have known then about the Leicestershire connection to my ancestors. How close is Willoughby to Kirby Bellars or Melton Mowbray? That is the area where one of my George Masters lived in the 1820's. I have a christening date of 1829 and probably a father named George Masters (birthplace unknown) married to an Elizabeth. Your John Masters might be in the age range to be a brother or cousin, if there is any connection at all. I haven't sent for any certificates at this point, but I plan to do that fairly soon.
