My great-grandfather was James Washington Masters. He lived in Robertson County, TN a portion of his life. He was married to Emily Cleek. My grandfather lived there until his death. He was Tom Masters. I don't think there is any connection but just wanted to know if there might be a family name there. Judy

They had 9 children, Lee, born March 9, 1881 in Walton, Cass Co., In., Harley, born Jan. 1, 1883, Bertha Blanch, born April 17, 1885, Herbert (Speed), Feb. 8, 1887, Dorothy, born July 12, 1888, Daughter, born Nov. 17, 1894, Ruby born Oct. 12, 1895, Alma born July 1, 1896 and Clifford St Clare Masters born on Oct. 12, 1899. Most of the children born in Madison Co., In. Greenberry's parents were James W. Masters born on Feb. 22, 1830 in KY. He was married to Martha Ann Hill, on Dec. 18, 1848. James W. Masters parents were Curtis & Nancy Masters. Curtis was born in KY. His date of born maybe Nov. 25, 1806, I'm not sure. I have the book written by Doyle Fenn, "Footprints West", Second Edition, and have found no connection to my Masters in his book. George was born abt. 1865 in England. His parents imigrated to America & arrived at the port of NewYork on March 23, 1871. (Pg. 113 M Melx #45). The family was naturalized Aug 24, 1876 @ Lackawanna County Courthouse in Scranton, PA. George is the son of John "Jack" Masters & Mary Ann (Westlake) Masters. His occ. Coal Laborer. According to unpublished notes/letters. he died before he reached his early 20's. He was apparently handicapped as his older sister had to care for him because of his legs (1885-1890 yr. died)? I would very much like to know exact date he died & where he is buried in Scranton. Also, if he was married. He was 1 of 16 siblings. I can only show 10 of those children who were born betw. 1853 & 1874. John, Jr., Elizabeth, William, George, Samuel, James, Emma Jane, Mary Jane, Virginia! (need all info on her) & Wesley. She was a member of the Perrysville Evangelical Unite Brethren Church. She is survived by her husband, Burton, and 2 bros., Warren & Omer Casebeer of Danville, IN. Bessie was buried in Hicks Cemetery, near Perryville, IN. (Hicks Cemetery seems to be near the state border line bet. Indiana & Illinois. Doe's anyone know which state Hicks cemetery is in)?
