I have a G.G.grandfather Andrew Masters married to Elizabeth. They are on the 1850 &1860 Stoddard Co.MO. census and both census has his birthstate as Mo. Does anyone know who is Andrews father? There is a Andrew on 1820 census, that could be, but also a John A Joseph married to Elizabeth, and a Jacob. Some Masters that are about the same age as Andrew and could be brothers are Moses,Henry and James. I'm looking to share photos and information on the Masters family of Pike County, Indiana. My great-great grandfather was Raynor Masters (1850-1877), son of Albert L. Masters and Catharine Grubb Masters. Raynor died very young, at age 27, and he had just one son with his wife Lucy Black prior to his death. This was my great-grandfather Albert Masters. I would love to hear from someone from this family line. I have photos of the young Albert L. and his wife Millie Shoaf and family that I can share, but none of the other children or grandchildren of Albert L. and Catharine Grubb. I do have the Masters family traced back to William Masters from the Jack Masters website. Thanks! Lou

Hi Val, Do you have any Masters connections in Australia? My Australian Masters are as follows, Alexander George [born Nova Scotia in about 1856] and Frances Eliza Campbell born 1861 had the following children. Alexander 1882 Charles 1884 John Robert 1885 [ my grandfather ] Alice 1887 Florence 1889 Annie 1890 James 1892 Ethel 1894 Herbert 1896 Howard 1898 David 1900 Albert 1902 Emily 1904 Regards, Anne Masters Clark, In Sydney.Get more from the Web. Hi Charlotte, I am always interested in any George Masters from England because I have yet to find much about my grandfather's family in England. My grandfather, George Harold Masters was born in Burton on Trent in 1891. I have seen him incorrectly listed as born in 1896. We know that his father was George Masters, who married Annette Tull in Burton on Trent, but George's birth date is listed about 1868. I know nothing about George Masters parents, where he was born or anything else, other than who he married and the names of their children. I suspect that the elder George was not born in Burton on Trent, but so far I have run into dead ends. I do know that George and his two sons, George Harold and Richard Dudley, migrated to Canada (around Brownsville, Ontario) probably in the very early 1900's and supposedly left Annette Tull and at least one daughter in England. I would appreciate any information that would either connect or rule out your George Masters. I think but I am not sure my Josie Masters was born around 1882 but I am not sure that is why I didn't say. I don't know much except that someone said that her grave listed her as Josie and not Josephine. I am assuming her real name was Josie. The only thing that I have heard about a sibling was that there was a Desilva name? I can't check for the 1880 census because maybe she was born in 1882 and I don't have the 1900 census index so that leaves that out. I checked on that website you sent to me and the dates I think are too old to be her. It was very kind of you to try to help me though. If you ever hear of a Josie Masters please remember to email me. I am changing my email address to Lindaboo@cox.net at the end of the month. Thanks a lot. Linda

I need information on Josie Masters, I don't have a date of birth yet, but I believe she died circa 1904. She was married to George Drake and had several children, one being the oldest, Lela Drake born in 1899 in Brazil, Iowa. I have heard that these Masters are Portuguese. Does anyone know of any Masters being Portuguese? Linda
