I am looking for a Daniel Masters born in New Jersey about 1760. His dad is suppose to be from Paris France. Does that ring any bells at all. I have looked for this guy for about a year. I found him listed in the military(revolutionary war) for Ny. He married Rebecca Love from Pa. and they raised their 4 or 5 children in New York. Daniel died in 1807 in Stoney Island. No one can tell me where that is. Can you please help one Master to another. Thanks, Trese Masters Judd

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Fly.2ACEB/579.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Maggie! I'll be more than happy to send the photos to you. There are 28 pictures from Oolenoy Baptist Church, with some Trotter gravestone photos; and, there are 28 pictures from Saluda Hills Baptist. The photos are large, so I'll have to send them all in separate e-mails. The Masters that are buried at both cemeteries, stem from a man named Thomas Masters, born 1754 in Rockbridge Co., VA. His wife was Margaret Shields, born 1783 in Rockbridge Co., VA. Rockbridge at the time was known as Botetourt Co., VA. I'm not sure when they migrated to SC, nor where they were from before they lived in VA. From there, my direct line begins with their son, Richard Masters, then his son Thomas, then his daughter Susan, then her son Abraham Lincoln Masters, who was my gr-gr-grandfather. Anyway - the pics will be coming shortly! -Dana

    3. Hi Besty, I am in the process of moving and my scanner has been taken down. I can send you a copy of a copy of Minnie Masters. My cousin had the orginal tin type.....and insisted I sent it back, even tho I used in genealogy and she doesn'. I should have written copy of a tin type. I have several copies. Actually you can see the copy better than the orginal. It will the end of next week or the first of the next week before I can scan. Would you like for me to snail mail it. I won't be shutting down until next Thursday, but will be glad to snail mail La. is not to far from Washington County, Alabama, where Minnie Masters came to visit my grandmother Minnie Lee Masters Waldrop. I live in Columbus, Georgia, Muscogee County. All my paternal ancestors are from Washington County, Alabama. Daddy left Mobile, Alabama looking for work during the depression. When he found worked, he worked and retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company in Alabama and inched his way up to Georgia, while working on the Line -gang......plantind the creole polls and strung the lines........which was alright, because mama, lived in Columbus, Georgia. That is how we ended up Georgia. I and my oldest sister are first born Georgians. My millde sister was born in Mobile, Alabama. Let me know if you want me to snail mail. Sandra Minnie Masters is my grandmother's ( Minnie Lee Masters Waldrop) grandmother. Betsy Masters wrote: >Hi Sandra, I would like to see the tin type picture if you could scan and >email it to me.
