I seem to have waked up the LIST. I am looking for informtion about Joseph Massey b Brunswick Co VA somewhere around 1690. He m Elizabeth Lanier or Elizabeth Lee or maybe both. Or maybe it was another Joseph that m one of them. Everyone seems to have different dates for birthdays, marriages, etc. Is anyone on this LIST researching this Joseph Massey. I think most of us on the Massey List probably have a Joseph or two in our family tree. I have a Joseph Massey, unknown date of birth/death, married to Elizabeth Washington Lanier. (Elizabeth is said to have been a first cousin to George Washington). Joseph was my G-G-G-G-G-G-G Grandfather. Joseph and Elizabeth had the following children: 1. James Massey - Born 1744 - Brunswick Co., VA Married: Elizabeth Rives 4. John Massey - Born 1745 - Brunswick Co., VA Married: Joan Cook 5. Joseph Massey - Born 1750 - Brunswick Co., VA Married: Martha Hood 6. Sarah Massey - Born ?? Married: William Advent 7. Amy Massey - Born ?? Married: Peter Advent 8. Rebecca Massey - Born ?? Married: James Wise 9. Agnes Massey - Born ?? Married: ??? Richardson 10. Mary Massey - Born ?? Married: Thomas Wise 11. Winifred Massey - Born ?? Married: ??? Sykes 12. Betty Massey - Born ??
