    3. I am still searching for this gent in the1901 census: he should have shown his birthplace as Ruabon, but may have shown it as Chester as he spent most of his childhood and teenage there. I know he was still alive in England in 1909, when he was witness to his brother's marriage. What are the more outlandish variations of MASSEY you have found? Donald Massey

I know he was still alive in England in 1909, when he was witness to his brother's marriage. >What are the more outlandish variations of MASSEY you have found?< Besides MASSEY and MASSIE, there are MACEY,MACIE, MACY,MARCY,MARSEE,MASSY, MASEY, MASIE, MASCY, MASSA, MASSAA,MASY, MAXEY, MAXCY ,MAYCY, MAYSAY, MAYSEY, MESSER,MOSSA, and even MACE and MASE. Most of the above variations actually appear is US census records, but may, in a few cases refer to a totally different family. Let us know if you get a match on any of these in English records!
