    1. [MASSEY-L] Ivester & Massey
    2. HI Everyone, Am hoping that someone might have come across some information on these folks. This family is in the 1850 census of Walker co., Ga Jacob Ivester - 30 - NC Nancy - 24 John - 5 - Ga Monroe - 3 - Ga Reuben - 1 - Ga Elizabeth - 1 - Ga No location is given for Nancy's birth. But in 1860 in Ark it indicates that she was born in NC - in 1870 in Mo it indicates she was born in SC - in 1880 it is SC again. We tried for years to find Nancy's maiden name. And finally in a funeral book in Stoddard Co., Missouri on the death of her son we found a listing for her maiden name as Massy. The 1850 census for Walker Co., Ga also shows listings for: a Mary Massey - age 18 a John Massey family - he was born in NC a Ansel Massy family - he was born in SC and interesting enough they also have a son Reuben a Clem Massy family - he was born in Ga a Starling Massy family - he was born in SC a Warren Massey family - he was born in NC a Richard Massy family - he was born in SC a Wilson Massy family - he was born in SC a James Massey family - he was born in NC Am hoping that one of you might be able to help me match my Nancy Massy up with a family - somewhere..... Thanks so much - Emma

This doesn't give you Nancy's ancestry but will provide a clue in the direction to look. Theron Smith.
