I also know that Benjamin had two daughters before he married Ruby Smith I know one daughters name is Darlene but I ado not konw the other daughters name or the mothers name.>> I have been challenged to find Heather's folks in a Texas census since her first query. Finally got a small clue: In 1930 Navarro Co., TX census: Albert B. Massey 29 [hence b. 1900/1 compatible with an Oct 1900 birth] TX shows both parents b. TX Lillie M. 20 [b. 1909/10] TX both parents b. in TX [this would eb Albert Benjamin's first wife!] Lillie D. 5 [b. 1924/5] TX both parents b. in TX [this would be the Darlene that Heather remembers.] Hellen? (hard to read) 2 10/12 [b. 1927] TX both parents b. in TX No trace of an Albert or Sidney Massey or MASSIE in 1900 or 1910 TX census index. Good chance that Albert Sidney NOT b. in TX in spite of the 1930 census. Since he had children by 1900, he was proably born by 1880 - I'll check to LDS all name index for him. Although there was a family tradition to that effect, I doubt that Benjamin Albert Massey was born in Tom Green Co. in 1900. He doubtless lived there later and his children may have thought he was born there Quite a coincidence, but I have an ancestral uncle Guilford Massey who was in Tom Green in 1920 who had a brother Sidney Massey back in Hopkins Co., TX. I don't see any connection with Heather's Masseys - just a coincidence I'm sure. Regards to all, Theron Smith
