New research for Bill Massey's MASSEY GENEALOGY 2000 showed Arthur's father as John (3) Massey son of Joseph(2); Richard (1) and hence one of OURS. How do you tie into McManus? Drewry (5) Massey (aka Andrew) (c1780 - c1850) youngest son of Arthur Massey and Elizabeth Alston 1m Mary McManus, dau of Lt. Hugh McManus and Elizabeth ----. Drewry's family and his brother Alston lived in Chesterfield Co., SC and are enumerated close to yours and, as you know, I have long thought they may be closely related, but I haven'y yet found the exact connection.
