The list of deaths from Judge Niles Diary apparently has a typo for C. M Massey who died in 1864. Going to the transcripts of the Diary which are online for the earlier years, I found he wrote "C. K. Massey". Searching the CW records, Captain C. K. (Conrad K. ) Massey was an officer in the 20th Regiment of MS, and died in action in 1864. The 20th Regt MS was formed from 5 or 6 counties, one of which was Noxubee. 1860 census of Noxubee Co, Macon, MS, page 858 has the following: C. K. Massey (Mapey) age 21 born MS Ann Massey (Mapey) age 21 born AL They are in the household of Jos/ Jas C. Buck age 34, born Penn and Ann C. Buck, age 25, born MS Now, this doesn't help much with the parents of Conrad K. Massey, but perhaps someone else will know the family. Barbara Ferrell
