I have been unable to trace the above after he witnessed his brother's marriage at Ruabon in 1848. He does not appear in the 1851 census for Denbighshire or Flintshire, nor those parts of Cheshire I have searched so far, nor is there any obvious marriage or death for him in GRO or Cheshire BMD Indexes. If he had joined the Army around this time, is it likely to have been in Wrexham, or would he have had to go to nearby Chester? Where would I find any records? Donald Massey
