Is anyone on the list working the Masseys who settled in Jefferson County, AL in the 1800s? Does anyone have proof of the parentage of Samuel Massey who died there in 1829? His wife Sarah Glenn seems to be better documented. Are Samuel's brothers William Duke Massey, Jonathan Massey, and John Massey who went to KY and TX? Has any male Massey descendant agreed to DNA testing? James Massey, born in Md (I assume Maryland) in 1782 was also in the area. (Online files have his family as Josiah Massey.) Since DNA indicates a common ancestor in the past between my Massey family and John Taylor Massey ( probable son of James M. Massey), I would like to know more and work toward placing all of these men in their proper families. Are there any historical records, documents, etc, placing either of these 2 family groups properly? Few people with files online not have any documentation listed. Barbara Massey Ferrell
