One of my correspondents had ancestry.com send me copy of the page from 1860 Macon Co., GA showing Kimbrell Massey 50 [born 1809/10, NC.] This Kimbrell appears in 1850 Muscogee Co., GA census in a district different from those in which I've found mine and several other Masseys. In 1840 Muscogee Co., GA, Kimbrell appears on line 24 of the same page on which one of the elusive Eli Masseys appears on line 1. No reason to think they are closely related. It is generally accepted that Kimbrell is Kimbrell6 son of Reddick5 Massey whom some but not all researchers place as the same person as Frederick5 Massey Jr son of Frederick4 Sr , son of William3 [or son of my Hezekiah3], son of Richard2 and Anne Pettipool Massey.
