Happy Thanksgiving! If you could share Thanksgiving dinner with someone you are researching, who would you invite to spend it with you? It has to pertain to this list. Include full name(s), time period, and any other info you'd like to share. Oh yeah, since this is Thanksgiving is there a special dish you'd like to share with them? If you are asking why is she doing this, well because it pays to advertise. This list gives you a free way to search for family, use it. The list has been quiet. It's time to spice it up. kemis
I would invite John Massey, one the three and possibly 4 John Massey's in my direct line back. This John was born according to census in 1782 in North Carolina. I would ask him who his father and mother were, and ask him if he had two wives or just one. I would also invite Elizabeth Massey of Caroline County, Virginia, born about 1720+1730 and ask her if she was John's grandmother of if this has been a wild goose chase. If she was then I would really want to ask her some questions about her birth, where and so on. As for as food goes, I wonder what they would think aboutTex-Mex or beef BBQ from the state of Texas since Elizabeth had never even heard of Texas and John never saw it.? Would love to spend Thanksgiving with my g-grandmother Alice Mae Massey Starkweather and have my grandmother present Euraina Mae Starkweather McDonald. Alice Mae died when my grandmother was 8 years old and she never knew where her mother was buried. My daughter and I found Alice's grave a few years ago in St. Joseph, Missouri with the help of an angel online whom I never met. I would like to share my day with the Elizabeth Massey, who married Richard Clatterbuck, b. abt 1736 in Caroline Co., VA, m. 7 May 1759 and d. abt 1793. I don't have any info on Elizabeth, except that she died aft 1804. I would ask her about her parents and siblings and how her life was in that period. I know that she and Richard had a son, Reuben, b. 31 Dec 1755 in Caroline Co., VA. m. 1782 to Martha "Patsy" Griffin. Reuben died 12 Oct 1838 in Calloway Co., MO. It would be interesting to see how she reacted to our way of life in the 21st century.
