Bettie Edwards made two corrections to the referenced post: (1) "It is believed Elizabeth Massey was married to William D. Algiers [not Thomas, as my older source had it] because of a will of John Todd, Laurens Co., Ga dated 1819 in which both William and Elizabeth are mentioned." (2) "Drewry Massey was not in the Revolutionary War that I know of.. He is a Civil Patriot as a result of serving as Grand Juror- August. 1779, Juror - May 1781 and Tax Assessor - May 1780." [Providing supplies or services to the Revoultionary forces or serving on a jury in one of the states supporting independence also makes a descendant eligible to join the DAR.] Theron.
