Georgia with this listing. Jacob Ivester - 30 - NC Nancy - 24 - SC/NC John - 5 - Ga Monroe - 3 - Ga Reuben - 1 - Ga Elizabeth - 1 - Ga Later census records show that they named their children: John A., Asa Monroe, Reuben, Elizabeth, Joseph H., William R. Jacob Foster, George W., & Benjamin Franklin. Later funeral records in Missouri indicate that Nancy's maiden name was MASSY. So I have been trying to find who her parents might be. AND... I thought the name Reuben might be a clue as I know that name isn't used in the Ivester family. The same goes for the second son Monroe. His name is actually Asa Monroe. I have found the following also listed in the 1850 census for Walker Co., Ga. John Massey, age 55 and wife Nancy, age 43 and their family. Ansel Massy, age 47 and wife Sarah, age 47 and their family. They have a son names Reuben. Clem Massy, age 48 and wife Anna, age 47 and their family. Starling Massy, age 25 and wife Martha, age 24 and their family Warren Massey, age 63 and wife Nancy, age 53 and their family. Richard H. Massy, age 33 and wife Mary M., age 31 and their family Wilson Massy, age 30 and wife Rachel, age 28 and their family James Massey, age 36, and wife Patsey, age 35 and their family. Does anyone by any chance know anything about a Nancy Massy who married my Jacob Ivester. Keeping my fingers crossed.... <g>. Thanks so much - Emma
