I am new to the list. I am searching Nancy Massey (b.ca1803) who married Sterling Smith (b.ca1803) in 1827 in Knox County TN. They lived in TN until after the 1850 census when they moved to Jackson County IL with most of their children. Is anyone else interested in this couple? Does anyone know anything about them? Their son, Sterling Jr. put "Indian" as his Nativity on his Civil War papers.
