I'm sure they're related if you go back to co. Chester, England, but the relationship would be very remote. You've probably seen the speculative charts on the internet that show one John Massey b. 1570, Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire, England, as father of two Massey men: John b. 1616 as ancestor of our Charles City Co., VA Masseys; Nicholas b. 1618 as ancestor of Nicholas Massey of MD. I know the connection down to our USA Masseys is spurious and I suspect the one down to your Nicholas is also. Theron Smith.
