For JohnMassey55: Irish civil registration of births began in 1867. If you look on the Family Search (LDS) pilot site, you can look for him. Here's the link. William 's father was Thomas W Massey married to Sasannah Sparrow.William's father was Abraham Massey maried to Gwen Lewis. Abraham's father was James Massey, haven't found the wife yet, I think this is all correct but haven't researched it enough to be positive. Hope this was of some help to you. We have a Sparrow-Massey connection that occurred in South Carolina (Spartanburg, we think). Charles Martin Sparrow born @ 1811, son of Thomas Sparrow, married Sarah or Sallie Massey About 1837. They moved to Monroe County, Miss, about 1838 with a bunch of the family and then about 1860 to Lafayette County, Arkansas, where they died but family still live there. We have often wondered if this family of either Masseys or Sparrows were related to your Massey/Sparrow connection and how.If it is positive then we may be able to clear up a question or two.
