This my brick wall....I do not know his parents nor any siblings.... >From his widow's pension application in 1871 in Lincoln Co, TN we find that he married Patience Russell 27 Sep 1810 in Franklin Co, GA. He served in SC Militia in 1814 with Gen. Andrew Jackson's forces at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in Alabama.....hence the widow's pension application. Children were William Russell Martin, born SC 11 Sep 1811, Neity C. Martin, born abt 1820 in GA, Louisa Martin, born 2 Mar 1826 in Bedford Co, TN, and Benj Franklin Martin, born Sep 1830 in Madison Co, AL..... I am okay up to today....I just need leads for George Martin's parents and/or siblings.......George did not leave many tracks and told his grandchildren (by Wm Russell Martin) that he never kept track of his siblings....
