Jacob was the son of Jacob Martin b.ca 1788 in SC and Peggy Saap b. ca 1790 in SC(This info from Jacob Martin family researchers) in 1850 Shelby Co. AL Jacob is listed with Prudence b.ca 1817 in SC As far as I know--this family only relates to mne, through his son's marriage to a daughter of Robert Martin and Elizabeth (Betty)Crim.
