**Fellow Listers, I had sent an e-mail to Julia at her personal addy as to not take up space on the list. In that e-mail I explained that some of us have nothing more than a name and place to go on and that a Roll Call sometimes opens doors more than a posting of just a name and place, as it gives us all a chance to "find" people that may have a connection based on migration patterns, etc. Well....guess she didn't like me contacting her, and I was reminded very quickly that is his her way or no way. Net etiquette??? Wow! Anyhow, I am sharing with you the reply I received from Julia. Julia, Excuse me????? I had NOT posted to the roll call.....was merely sharing my thoughts with you on this matter. And notice, I shared my thoughts (originally) with you personally.....not on the list to take up space and time! Sometimes a post gets no response regardless of the subject line. Been there, done that. However, I was under the impression that this was a list for ALL Martin researchers. Obviously, the underlings beneath the LISTOWNER are not allowed to have thoughts. Oh well, I knew nothing about Pearlie May Martin prior to my experience with Martin-L and I still know nothing. Still have no clue as to who her parents were, although I know she had a brother Walter that married a Sigmon also (but I learned this from a cousin, not the list). Fellow listers, I appreciate all the help and guidance you have given, but I'm done. If anyone would like to correspond with me directly regarding this particular line of Martin's in the Callaway/Ferrum area of VA, please do so. I've enjoyed learning about the various lines.....as I've read each post. Good luck in your research!
