    1. Re: [MARTIN-L] Alabama Martins

    3. Yes, his parents (my ggg grandparents) were James L. and Sarah C. Smith Martin, who married in Jasper County, GA, 1821, moved to Randolph and Stewart Counties, GA, and then Dale and Barbour Counties, AL. I do not know who James L. Martin's siblings were, nor his parents--my brick wall. In addition to Andrew Jackson Martin, they were the parents of: Matthew A. Martin, b Jasper Co., GA, 1822/1823 Francis Marion Martin (my gg grandfather), b Jasper Co., GA, 1827 William Henry Martin, b Jasper Co., GA, 1829 John Floyd Martin, Stewart Co., GA, 1830 George W. Martin, Stewart Co., GA, 1832 Elizabeth A. Martin, Stewart Co., GA, 1834 Thomas W. Martin, Stewart Co., GA, 1837 Sarah Jane Martin, Stewart Co., GA, 1840 Harriet Martin, [Dale Co., AL?], 1841 Samuel M. Martin, [Dale Co., AL?], 1843 Mary Ann Martin, [Dale Co., AL?], 1845 Victoria Caroline Martin, [Dale Co., AL?], 1847 James Lafayette Columbus Martin, Barbour Co., AL, 1849 I've listed them in the event any of these names were used as the names of his (your Jackson Martin's) children.
