I am researching a William H. Martin.  Still waiting to hear from national archives about my William H.Martin birthplace Tennesee. (Part of the Moultrie, Illinois bunch.) Will let you know when I get an answer.     I am still searching for an Alice Marinda Martin married to John Thomas Overstreet. Cannot find her parents. John Thomas Overstreet had a brother, Charles Thaddeus Overstreet married to a Malissa or Melissa G. Martin. Cannot find her family either. Alice Marinda was born in Illinois in 1849. Malissa was born 1847. Sisters? Cousins?      I believe this Alice Marinda is related to Lewis Martin, brother of James Frost Martin and son of John and Isabella Martin. Do you have any other info or advice about where to look? I have lettters mentioning Lewis, his wife Ales, his children,his brother Phillip, brother John, and his parents, John and Isabella, whom they called Sarah. So I know I am connected to this family, just can't seem to get that last link.I believe Alice Marinda was Lewis's granchild but cannot find any records of her siblings or a connection to her parents.
