Went by Zadoc Martin. Nickname: Ballie Martin Married about 1838-39 in TN WIFE: Rebecca BATES, born about 1824 in SC; died about 1886 in Howell County, MO. Rebecca may be his only wife, or she may be his second wife. We have been told that John Marion MARTIN and Robert E. "Lee" MARTIN were half brothers, but we have not found proof of that fact. MARTIN, born July 1856 in AR; died - unknown, possibly Oklahoma around Dill City or Cordell area. Married Annis Mahaley ? (maiden name unknown) about 1878 in MO/AR. Thomas Josephus MARTIN, born 2 October 1859 in AR; died 12 February 1926 in Burkett, Coleman County, TX; buried in Burkett Cemetery. Marriage No. 1 to: Nancy E.
