Long ago I posted a request for information that would lead me to a copy of the "Martins of Martin's Mill." At the time, I promised other list members to notify them when I found a copy. I am pleased to announce, I now have a copy due to the kindness of Marty Bates another Martin descendant. It has brought down my Martin brick wall! The book is about David Sanders Martin and his ancestry including some information on the Barksdale line into which John Martin married in the Abbeville/McCormick Co. SC area. The book traces this line into early VA. Email me off-list for look-ups and/or a copy on cd . . . the book is not copyrighted. If anyone knows a way and a place for me to upload the images of each page onto the internet, I would be happy to do that so many folks could benefit from it.
